What's the difference between early dismissal and half days?

Early Dismissal The students are dismissed from school at 12:40 to allow time for conferences. These take place four days in the fall and four days in the Spring. PSED begins at 12:40 on these day (differs from Half Days).

Half Day A noon-time dismissal before holidays and vacations.
