Each curriculum area is managed by a coordinator. The Learning Expectations are the curriculum guidelines for all content areas, Grades K-8. The Course Syllabi are detailed course outlines for all courses at Brookline High School. They help teachers, parents and students understand the anticipated results of instruction and study. Both the Learning Expectations and Course Syllabi respond to the question: what should students be able to do to demonstrate understanding and knowledge?

Lists are published in May and can be found in each classroom, the library and at May’s Book Fair.

Understanding Disabilities: Within the fourth grade curriculum students are exposed to and learn about various disabilities. There are four week long sessions throughout the school-year; this is run by parent volunteers with the 4th grade teachers.

World Language: Pierce offers Spanish and Mandarin to 7th & 8th graders. Brookline passed an override in Spring 2008 to restore world language (Spanish) to lower grades starting in January 2009.
